The coarse lake was constructed in 2000 and has matured well. It is 4.5 acres and averages 10ft in depth, at it’s deepest it is 16ft and 5ft in the shallows. There is a safety shelf around the majority of the lake.

Access to the coarse lake from the car park is excellent and unless you actually want to go rambling around the lake there is no requirement for a trolley. Disabled access is also catered for, and the flat, even banks are suitable for wheelchair use.

There are 10 designated swims spaced 30ft apart along one bank with the other two banks being for the angler who prefers a bit of cover. It will comfortably accommodate 20 anglers.

Fishing:
The tench and carp have bred consistently and there is a good variety of sizes. The summer months can produce 200lb plus bags and the evening sport on floating baits in particular can be spectacular.
The winter fishing produces quality rudd , roach and along with a good head of chub and huge F1s there are big skimmers that still like to get their heads down even in the colder weather and it makes for good fishing all year round.

Baits:
All the usual baits work with pellet, meat, and corn etc through the summer for the bigger fish and during the colder weather red maggot and caster over hemp tends to be their tipple.

Stock:
Carp to mid 20's, rudd and roach to 3lb, tench, bream, chub, perch and gudgeon.
